I love my Steven by Steve Madden Intyce boots in black. I got them at Nordstrom for $130 just before school started.They're super comfortable and they have a slight wedge so they give a bit of height and look dressy when paired with the right outfit.
They work great with just about anything; I've worn these boots with leggings, jeans and bare legs. They're not winter boots per-say, but a good pair of socks and they make great fall boots. Definitely not made for snow as the sole is flat and quite slippery. Luckily for me, my university has heated sidewalks which means I'll be sporting these boots all season long.
